Suddenly, at his residence. Son of the late John and Ellen Fennell. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother John, sister Catherine Walsh, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 11th from 5.30 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Removal on Thursday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church to arrive for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery. Please observe Covid precautions.

My Dad had a brief stay at Portlaoise hospital in late March this year. Peter happened to be across from my Dad on the ward. I’m not from Ireland originally and I had not met Peter before this. Due to my Father’s condition I was allowed to stay longer with him than the specified visiting time. Talking with Peter about the some of the events on the ward, made me smile, which was lovely. Peter was a support to me, and I really appreciate that. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. God Bless him.
